Daniel had asked for help in finishing his debut album,and Frank has not only helped him finish,but he has also taught Daniel a whole lot about the music industry,and life in general. We have come to call this, Daniel's college,and we could not have picked a better teacher .We will be coming home with wonderful memories,useful knowledge and an album to be damn proud of. If we could pack up Frank and his family and take him home with us,we would do so in a minute. Frank has admitted to being a sort of rebel in the business and has actually wondered out loud if we should link Daniel to his name. I am here to tell you that we will forever be proud to associated with this beautiful person. We will treasure the time we spent with him,and always remember his generosity and vast knowledge. | MAMF Surprise Artist One of the surprises at this years festival was 18 year old guitar slinger Daniel Conti. Daniel is from Marble Falls Texas and plays quite a bit on sixth street in Austin Texas. Although Daniel is only 18, he plays his guitar as if it were an extension of his soul. We enjoyed his music so much that when an open slot came available as a result of a last minute cancellation, we asked him if he would stay for another night and perform at Mick's. The crowd that was on hand to witness this guitar prodigy was treated to a youngster that could play electric guitar as well as any seasoned veteran including the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaugne and Eric Clapton.... His youthful innocence and passion for music exudes from his fingers and onto the strings causing his guitar to project sound light years ahead of his age. Look for this kid to go places. |
| Daniel Conti and Drawing Back volunteered their talents for the CASA Motorcycle Rally in San Saba-Texas last year. They all put on an awesome show and are a great group of folks. One of the comments from the crowd last year was “San Saba has never before had a show this awesome”. Having been a resident of the town on and off since 1971, I can attest to that fact. As well, I have been present during live performances of internationally famous musicians beginning as far back as the mid seventies that number in the several hundreds (including Elvis, ZZ Top, Willie, Skynerd, Leon Russell, Jimmy Buffet, Sabbath, Santana, Foghat, Tull, Molly Hatchet, Heart, The Who, Rolling Stones, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ted Nugent, Joan Jett, Van Halen, Eagles, & Frank Zappa, to name a scant few), and I haven’t witnessed a more engaging, electrifying show than these talented guys can put on.
